Make this Your #1 Priority in the Pandemic

Because of the Coronavirus we all face many concerns as citizens of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Adding to this concern is the non-stop information we receive daily representing a variety of perspectives regarding the seriousness of the virus, our rights, whether government is working to preserve our health and freedom or eroding it, and the list can go on. We all have and are entitled to our opinions on the issues as American citizens.
Regardless of what perspective we may have about the said issues, let’s be sure that first and foremost, as Christians, we live as citizens of heaven. The Apostle Paul reminded the Philippians (who lived as citizens in a Roman colony), that their heavenly citizenship is primary. As such, our number one concern ought to be to live as Christ’s ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) and making Jesus known through our speech and
For example, whether it’s posting on social media or while engaging in conversation, I often ask myself before commenting/posting on something controversial, “Is this going to help the cause of Christ and adorn His reputation or bring disrepute to it?” In our polarizing culture which has become further divided, let’s be sure that we are bringing heaven to bear in our life on earth. Let’s make reflecting Jesus our number one priority.
